Harvard Radcliffe Institute

Harvard Radcliffe Institute

Harvard Radcliffe Institute is one of the university's leading centers for interdisciplinary research, bringing together scholars, artists, and practitioners across fellowship, library, and public programming. The site needed to carry that range, from event listings and podcast archives to Schlesinger Library collections, without losing the sense of a single, coherent institution.

Built on Twill as part of the AREA 17 team, the work included close collaboration with the frontend engineer on a data pipeline that let her build and test layouts against real content pulled from the site's actual archive, rather than placeholder text. It meant every page was designed and reviewed against the density, length, and irregularity of true institutional content, so what shipped matched what the editors would actually publish. That grounding in real data, rather than lorem ipsum standing in for it, shaped how confidently the frontend could be built and signed off.
